We are back from a wonderful trip to the mountains! So many stories to tell, here are some pictures!
The first morning we went to a local coffee shop by day and bar/club by night called Loaded Joes. Daisy enjoyed her morning coffee by the beautiful mountains.Walking around Vail Village, unfortunately I didn't see anyone famous. Not even Trista and Ryan!!
Uncle Steven and Daisy hanging out while Nana and Mommy look for souvenirs.
Getting ready to go up the gondola.
Going up.....
Starting to notice some clouds forming (to the left)....
Quickly taking a picture at the top while a storm is brewing....we were rushed because we didn't want to get stuck at the top! (they shut down the gondola in rain!!!)
SCARY ride down!!!!! Wind in a Gondola!!!! Thank goodness it wasn't Oklahoma wind!
The next day uncle Steven and I go white water rafting and Daisy and Nana stay home! So many hilarious stories to tell from this day.....for one, lets just say this is the only picture in which I am visible.....I spent most of my time going down the rapids falling inside the boat!!!
After rafting, we took Daisy to a local hotel that was having a free pool party! Daisy loves to swim!
The next day we went to the Farmers Market in Vail Village. Over 110 booths of food, art, and boutique goodies....too bad I wasn't feeling well that day! Daisy and her balloon!
The train ride through the village.
The river through the village.
Uncle Stevie and Nana took daisy to the park while mommy tried to nap.....Daisy loves to swing!
Trying on the hiking backpack!!! She really loved this thing!
Preparing for hiking to hanging lake. We had no idea!!!!
Starting the hike. Uncle Stevie told us this was an EASY trail!
Not sure if this picture quite grasps what the trail was like, but you can kind of see the steep upgrade and giant rocks we had to climb around!
It was a beautiful, but long 1.2 mile hike up!
Steven estimated that it would take us 1 1/2 hours round trip.....2 1/2 hours we are finally at the 1 mile marker!!!
Daisy was having too much fun!
Finally the TOP!!!!! Spouting rock.
Hanging lake!
It was a fun trip, and we are happy to be home! Hope everyone else is doing well.

Splash Park
Coming from a smaller town, we do not have splash parks. Let me tell you, they are the greatest ever! They had big and small fountains that start small and get bigger, water sprayers for the big kids and buckets that dump. Fun for all ages and best of all FREE!! Daisy had her first splash park experience this week with her neighborhood play group friends. She loved watching the other kids and didn't mind the cold water (of course it helps that it has been really hot outside). I can't wait to take her back. Here are some pictures:Also here are some very cute pictures of Daisy and her "new" bathtub....the kitchen sink! I love that her hair is long enough for me to fix with the shampoo!!!
I have been taking some hilarious video's lately, but I will need Daddy's help to load them and edit them! She is so adorable and we are having so much fun lately! Hope everyone is doing well!

Hot outside!
It has been VERY hot here! Daisy and I have been trying to beat the heat. So, yesterday we made a make-shift swimming pool out of our bathtub...(we are no longer using the tub, because we are bathing her in the kitchen sink!) Here are some pictures:

July 4th
Well, for those of you who know me, 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. This year was a little different, because no fireworks for us! We can't stay up that late....well, one of us can't!!! Daisy had a great time at our neighborhood parade and looked adorable in her festive outfit. In addition Grammy and Grandpa came to visit, so we had a wonderful weekend! Here are the latest pictures!
Daisy is started to pull up on things, she is so active and you cannot turn your head for a second! Here she is attempting her new favorite activity on a stool.Pigtails are great, except after nap it makes the hair a little messy. It was so hilarious the other day. This is how we found her in her room after nap....she was happy at first and then just plain ready to get out!

June
June went by so fast. I can't really even believe it! That is how it always goes with the summer. Here are some things we have been doing besides unpacking the house!
We went to see Great Grandma Helen a couple of weekends ago. Daisy has only met her once. She had such a good time! She loved Hunter, Helen's dog! Please note the adorable outfit. One of the therapist at work has a 2 year old little girl and they have been giving me all of Olivia's old clothes! They are adorable. This dress has two giraffes on the front with giraffe buttons! SO CUTE!

We caught our mouse!!!!
Sorry if this is offensive to anyone but I am so happy to report that we woke up this morning to a mouse in one of our traps!!!!!! A mouse, hopefully just one, has been residing in our new home since we moved in and this past Monday evening he took a little look around in my purse!!!!! NOT JOKING! Chris and I heard something in the other room and found my purse moving---that's weird......so I throw a pen at my purse and out jumps the mouse!!!!! That night we set out some traps and last night we caught him!!! Now our dogs can return to our home without stress! I have to say it is nice to be able to walk around your house barefoot again!

The past 4 weeks!
Sooooo very much has happened in the last month, and I am sorry for not blogging sooner. Here is the cliff notes version of our past few weeks, in reverse order:
When I picked up Daisy from daycare yesterday the teacher said, "look who's here Daisy, do you want to show mommy your mustache!". Yes, Daisy made a father's day present yesterday with blue paint and it is ALL OVER her. Tummy, shoulders, arms, hands, and yes FACE. I don't think these pictures really do it justice....I am not sure how long it takes for blue paint to fade, but I will let you know. I hope this is one fabulous Fathers day gift!
